ABOUT VIETNAM

-

Over the past 10 years, and more so in the past 3 years, Vietnam – Australia Trade has increased around 60% to $25.2 billion in 2022, making Vietnam the 12th largest 2-way partnership.

Australian companies are well received in Vietnam. Australian education, agriculture and food exports all have a strong reputation in Vietnam. More broadly, Australia is regarded as a modern, technologically advanced, and friendly country located within Vietnam's immediate sphere of interest. Long-term trade and investment opportunities should increase in line with Vietnam's progress in implementing its trade commitments and administrative reform program.

In 2019 The AVBC Queensland office was opened by our patron, Mr Lawrence Strano.

The Vietnam- Queensland trade relationship continues to grow, with Vietnam being Queensland’s 5th largest export market value at $2.7 billion.

Vietnam offers opportunities for Queensland companies, particularly in food and beverage, technology, energy, and education, to meet a growing consumer demand for quality products, that will allow Vietnam to leapfrog current socio-economic issues. Vietnam is one of the countries that are active in embracing Industry 4.0 across all sectors.
